Hard work beats working smart every time. The concept of working smart is promoted by self-help geniuses and other common folklore to lure the lazy into believing there are quick fixes to achieving goals. Positive thinkers believe they can go around, go over, or go through a mountain of problems. In reality the only way through the mountain is by tunnel. Only the successful are willing to slug it out through the muck and dirt, drilling and hauling their way through the mountains of obstacles to reach their goals.
The problem with positive thinking is the thinking part. Those who wish to dream about positive possibilities are missing the most important element – taking action. Action is the most important element of a thought. It is the “power of doing” that yields the achievement of the goal.
